Dr. Seuss Favor Tutorial

With Dr. Seuss Day coming in just a  few days, we thought we’d share a tutorial on how to make a cute Seussical favor. Use this sweet treat for your students, children, PTA helpers, or anyone that has an appreciation for all things Dr. Seuss.

The first thing you need to do is head over to the super cool, extra generous ABCTeach.com where you can print off the perfect Cat In The Hat-ish top hat template. I printed off two copies, one on white cardstock and one on red, then cut them out.

This next step is optional, but it is an easy step that adds a fun look to your project.

You could also add paper stripes on the white side if you wanted to, but I only inked the edges of mine.

Next, you’ll need some buttermints. I used 3 with white wrappers and 2 with red. Alternate them and staple them onto the red hat cutout.

{PartyLand Utah Blog} Dr. Seuss Favor TutorialHere’s where you get to be as creative as you want to be (or NOT creative… that works too!)  Grab the stickers, markers, crayons, ransom-note style magazine cut-outs… WHATEVER you want to use to put a quote or message on the back.

 You can print off a quote and glue it onto the white hat or even add text to the hat image from ABCTeach.com in your favorite photo editing program. Here’s some that I did with quotes…
